Halloween Day party

Halloween Day was used as an excuse for a party at the LifeLine Shelter. A cake was baked and the residents and staff dressed up as scary as they could with what they had. They were provided masks to make it even more scary and had lots of fun.
The Housemother, Martie, provided a sheet, which they used to portray that they came to the Shelter in a dark space and left in a brighter space by dipping hands and feet in fabric paint and decorating the sheet. The Social Worker, Zama, also provided some information on people wearing masks, why we sometimes wear masks and the affect’s thereof. She also explained why the need to access a shelter and how it can help the healing and moving forward.
